BTR

Privacy

This page summarises how the BTR interface handles data. It is a summary and not a substitute for the full policy, which is published in the documentation and is the governing document.

What the protocol collects

Nothing. The BTR smart contracts are deployed on a public blockchain and hold no personal data. They record transactions, which are public by construction and are written by your wallet, not by us. We do not control that ledger and cannot amend or erase entries in it.

What the interface collects

The web interface records aggregate usage telemetry so we can tell which pages and flows are used and where they break: page paths, referrer, coarse geography derived from the request, and browser and device characteristics reported by your browser. Wallet addresses you connect are visible to the interface because they must be, in order to read your balances and construct transactions.

We do not sell data, we do not run third-party advertising or cross-site tracking, and we do not attempt to link a wallet address to an off-chain identity.

What third parties see

Using the interface necessarily involves parties we do not control. A blockchain RPC provider sees the requests your browser makes, including your address and your IP. Your wallet provider sees what you sign. A content delivery network sees your requests to this site. Each of those parties operates under its own policy.

Your choices

You can use the protocol without this interface: the contracts are public and can be called directly or through any client that implements the same calls. Disconnecting your wallet stops the interface reading your balances. Blocking scripts from this origin disables telemetry, and the documentation and blog remain fully readable without JavaScript.
